Black Pepper Beef by Thermomix

Are you still buying store black pepper sauce? Do you know if it is actually quite quick and easy to cook black pepper beef  from scratch ?  This is a popular dinner dish in North Asia. For busy working moms, the trick is to marinate before leaving for work and popping it into your Thermomix to churn out this dish quickly.


  • 400g beef fillet (cut into strips)
  • 15g garlic
  • 50g onion (quartered)
  • 10g cream
  • 1/2 tsp TM chicken stock
  • 1/4 tsp Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grounded black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp raw sugar
  • 15g cooking oil
  • Marinate (at least 1 hour)
    • 1/4 tsp sea salt
    • 1/4 tsp raw sugar
    • 1/4 soy sauce
    • 1 tsp chinese wine like shaoxing
    • 1.5 tsp egg whites
    • 1/4 tsp white pepper


  1. Grind the peppercorn 15 sec /speed 7-10 (depending on how fine you desire)
  2. Add oil and beef into the mixing bowl cook 2 min / varoma / speed stir / reverse
  3. Remove the beef and add the garlic and mince 3 sec / speed 5 and scrap down
  4. Add onion and saute 4 min / varoma / speed 1
  5. Add rest of the ingredients and the beef strips back into the mixing bowl and stir fry 3min / varoma / speed stir / reverse
